PERANCANGAN SISTEM UJIAN BERBASIS WEB MENGGUNAKAN PHP SEBAGAI SOLUSI DIGITALISASI EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN PADA SMK MAESTRO SEPATAN TANGERANG

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has accelerated digital transformation in various aspects of education, including the learning evaluation process. However, the examination process at SMK Maestro Sepatan Tangerang is still conducted conventionally using paper-based methods, resulting in several challenges such as inefficient use of time, high printing costs, lengthy grading processes, and a greater risk of errors in score processing. This study aims to design a web-based examination system using PHP as a solution for the digitalization of learning evaluation at SMK Maestro Sepatan Tangerang. The system was developed using the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application was developed using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, and a web-based interface accessible to administrators, teachers, and students. The main features of the system include user management, question bank management, online examination, automatic grading, and examination report generation. The results indicate that the developed system simplifies the examination process, accelerates grading, improves the accuracy of evaluation results, and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of learning evaluation management within the school. Therefore, the web-based examination system can serve as an effective solution to support the digitalization of learning evaluation at SMK Maestro Sepatan Tangerang.
