Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in today's digital era demands high efficiency in the logistics and land transportation sectors. This research focuses on PT Diyesh Maju Bersama, a company engaged in national logistics, expedition, and cargo delivery services. In practice, the company's operational management in recording vehicle data, drivers, delivery manifest documents, and generating monthly reports is still carried out semi-manually relying on Microsoft Excel software with separate files. This unintegrated business process triggers data redundancy, risks of human error, lack of real-time fleet monitoring, and slow retrieval of operational information. As a solution, this research designs and builds a web-based Fleet Management Information System using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model approach. This system strictly divides user access rights into two roles, namely Admin for daily manifest management and Owner for executive dashboard monitoring and external report export. The database structure in this system has also been normalized to the Third Normal Form (3NF) to ensure data consistency and eliminate duplication. The implementation results show that this platform successfully automates operational data logging, accelerates the recapitulation process, and provides transparency in supervising the company's operational activities.
