RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU BERBASIS APLIKASI MENGGUNAKAN METODE PROTOTYPE PADA KOPI JOSS

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact on data management in various business sectors, including culinary businesses such as cafes and coffee shops. One important aspect in culinary business operations is the management of raw material inventory, which plays a role in supporting the smooth production and service processes. Suboptimal inventory management can cause delays in raw material procurement, inconsistencies in stock data, and hamper business operations. At Kopi Joss, the inventory monitoring process still experiences obstacles because stock information cannot be obtained quickly and accurately, requiring the owner to conduct direct checks. This study aims to design and build an application-based Raw Material Inventory Information System using the Prototype method. This method was chosen because it allows users to actively participate in the design and evaluation process of the system according to operational needs. The developed system provides features for managing raw material data, recipes/menus, incoming goods transactions, outgoing goods transactions, as well as inventory and transaction reports. In addition, the system is able to automatically update stock quantities based on transactions and raw material usage according to the menu recipes sold. The results of the study indicate that the developed system is able to help the owner and cashier manage inventory more effectively and efficiently and provides fast, accurate, and easily accessible stock information to support the monitoring and decision-making process.
