Abstract

The process of managing news archives in online news media was previously carried out in an unstructured manner, resulting in difficulties in data retrieval, news storage, and overall information management efficiency. To address these issues, a web-based news archive information system was designed to facilitate the storage, management, and retrieval of news data in a fast and organized manner. The system was developed using a local server and web technologies, employing observation, interviews, literature review, and system requirements analysis as the foundation for the design and development process. The main features of the system include news data management, news category management, news archive search functionality, and user administration by system administrators. The implementation of this system enables a more effective, structured, and accessible news archiving process that can be accessed at any time. The results of the implementation indicate that the system significantly improves the efficiency of news data management and simplifies the process of searching news archives in online news media..
