Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of Total Asset Turnover (TATO) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Return on Assets (ROA), both partially and simultaneously, at PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of all financial statements of PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. The data analysis techniques used are Descriptive Analysis, Classical Assumption Test, Coefficient of Determination Test, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, and Hypothesis Testing. The results of this study show that the t-count value for Total Asset Turnover is 4,100, which is greater than the t-table value of 2,306 (4,100 > 2,306) with a significance value of 0,003, which is less than 0,05 (0,003 < 0,05). It can thus be concluded that Total Asset Turnover has a significant effect on Return on Assets. Meanwhile, the t-count value for the Debt to Equity Ratio is -5,884, which is greater than the t-table value of -2,306 (-5,884 > -2,306), with a significance value of 0,000, which is less than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Debt to Equity Ratio also has a significant effect on Return on Assets. Furthermore, Total Asset Turnover and Debt to Equity Ratio simultaneously have a significant effect on Return on Assets at PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk during the 2014–2024 period, as evidenced by an F-count of 43,257, which is greater than the F-table value of 4,45 (43,257 > 4,45), and a significance value of 0,000, which is less than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05).
