STRATEGI PENINGKATAN KINERJA KARYAWAN MELALUI PENGUATAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN MOTIVASI PADA KARYAWAN PT JAYA UTAMA MOTOR JAKARTA SELATAN
Abstract
This study aims to analyze strategies for improving employee performance through strengthening emotional intelligence and motivation at PT Jaya Utama Motor in South Jakarta. In facing increasingly tight competition in the automotive industry, companies are required to have human resources who are not only technically competent, but also emotionally and motivationally. This study uses a qualitative method with an empirical study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation of employees. The results of the study indicate that there are still weaknesses in aspects of emotional intelligence such as difficulty managing emotions, low empathy, and lack of intrinsic motivation. On the other hand, the company has strengths in the form of training programs, a collaborative work culture, and a reward system that can be utilized to improve performance. Based on the SWOT analysis, the recommended strategies include optimizing emotional intelligence training, aligning work motivation systems, and increasing managerial involvement in soft skill development. This study concludes that strengthening emotional intelligence and motivation simultaneously plays an important role in creating a productive and sustainable work environment.
