Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant influence of competence and communication on employee performance at the National Unity and Political Agency of Bogor Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative method with a sample 63 employees. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques include observation and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this research consist of validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression analysis, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that there is a positive and significant partial influence of competence on employee performance, with a simple regression equation of Y = 5,080 + 0,879X, a correlation coefficient of 0,902, a contribution effect of 81,3%, and t-test (16,291) > t-table (1,670), with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05. There is also a positive and significant partial influence of communication on employee performance, with a regression equation of Y = 7,588 + 0,832X, a correlation coefficient of 0,869, a contribution effect of 75,5%, and t-test (13,708) > t-table (1,670), with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05. Simultaneously, competence and communication have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as demonstrated by the multiple regression equation Y = 3,482 + 0,583X + 0,335X, a correlation coefficient of 0,918, a contribution effect of 84,3%, and F-table (161,314) > F-table (3,150), with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05. This indicates that both variables simultaneously influence employee performance positively and significantly.
