PENGARUH RETURN ON EQUITY (ROE) DAN EARNING PER SHARE (EPS) TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PADA PT MAYORA INDAH TBK TAHUN 2014-2023

Abstract

This study aims to determine the simultaneous effect of Return on Equity (ROE) and Earnings Per Share (EPS) on stock prices at PT Mayora Indah Tbk during the period 2014–2023. The selected population consists of the financial statements of PT Mayora Indah Tbk, with the sample being the financial statements from 2014 to 2023. This research uses a quantitative approach. The analysis methods used include calculating the values of each variable, descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis testing. The t-test results show that ROE has a significance value of 0.024 < 0.05 and a t-value of 2.861 > t-table value of 0.699, indicating that ROE has a partial effect on stock prices. EPS has a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05 and a t-value of 1.556 > t-table value of 0.699, meaning that EPS also partially affects stock prices. The F-test results show a significance value of 0.042 < 0.05 and an F-value of 5.175 > F-table value of 4.96, indicating that ROE and EPS simultaneously affect stock prices. The coefficient of determination (R²) test shows an R-Square value of 0.597, which means that ROE and EPS together contribute 59.7% to the variation in stock prices, while the remaining 40.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
