Abstract

Risk management is a crucial element in the success of information systems projects, especially web-based projects. The high complexity of the project, the involvement of various parties, and the dynamics of technology lead to increased potential risks. This research aims to evaluate common risks in web-based information system projects through literature approach and theoretical analysis. Risks are categorized based on project management standards such as PMBOK and ISO 31000. Risk assessment was conducted by combining qualitative scoring of risk likelihood and impact. The results show that the highest risks generally arise from the aspects of changing user needs, human resource management, and unclear specifications. This research suggests the application of an adaptive risk management framework, the integration of risk planning into the overall project planning process, and the use of web-based risk monitoring technology to improve control over potential project failures.
