PERANCANGAN SISTEM PENDATAAN ANGGOTA SEKOLAH MINGGU DI VIHARA SIAN JIN KU POH MENGGUNAKAN METODE RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (RAD)

Abstract

Internship (KP) is conducted as one of the academic requirements to complete studies in the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Pamulang. This internship activity aims to design an information system for managing member data of the Buddhist Sunday School at Vihara Sian Jin Ku Poh using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The system is designed to assist in administrative processes such as member data management, attendance recording, and organizational structure management more efficiently and accurately compared to the previously used manual system. The application is developed using the Java programming language with a Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach, including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), along with MySQL database for data storage. During the internship, the authors conducted user needs analysis through direct interviews with the temple administrators, designed the application interface, created the database, and implemented features such as adding, editing, and deleting member data, digital attendance recording, and organizational structure management. After undergoing the functionality testing phase, the system proved capable of replacing inefficient and error-prone manual processes, while also providing fast and secure data access. The final result shows that the developed system successfully improves the efficiency of data management processes, minimizes the risk of data loss or errors, and provides an integrated digital solution for managing the Sunday School at Vihara Sian Jin Ku Poh.
